Celebrating the life of
James William Bullock, Sr.
April 22, 1922 - September 17, 2015
Savannah- James William Bullock, Sr., 93, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Oxton Court of Savannah under the care of Hospice Advantage.
He was a native of Athens. Mr. Bullock served in the US Army for four years and also served in the US Air Force where he was awarded the Purple Heart. After discharge from the military, he worked as a salesman with Swift Company and Devour Knight Company for over thirty-eight years. He enjoyed playing golf.
Surviving is his wife of sixty-eight years, Sarah Rowe Bullock; sons, James Bullock, Jr. and Tommy Joe Bullock all of Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Bonaventure Cemetery.
I would like to express my condolences to the family of Mr. Bullock. No doubt many will feel the loss of such a dear loved one. May you all find comfort in the loving promise found at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
